Maintenance & Facilities

Roseville City School District
Overview

Maintenance & Facilities

The Facilities side of our department is responsible for planning and implementing new construction, modernization, and a variety of District projects, plus long-range facility planning, developer impact fee collection, and facilities use coordination, all in compliance with government facilities regulation. The department’s construction responsibilities include working with Board members, administrators, and site staff to identify the needs for each school site. Projects are prioritized, costs are determined, and contractors are obtained. We utilize public bidding for large projects.

Our Maintenance and Operations side provides a safe environment for students and staff through inspection, maintenance and repair of District buildings and grounds, while also meeting local, state, and federal mandates. Staff consists of approximately 90 Custodial, Maintenance, Clerical, and Grounds employees, maintaining 17 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, and 4 administrative sites. Services include work coordination, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, heating/air conditioning, audio/visual, locksmith functions, welding, fire alarm and intercom system upkeep at all sites. Our grounds crew is dedicated to providing a variety of maintenance, aeration, irrigation, fertilization and mowing services year-round; creating healthy lawn areas, playgrounds and infrastructure for our students and staff.
