Music Education

We offer music education at all of our school sites!  Education is provided by credentialed music teachers. At our elementary schools, students in grades kindergarten through 5th attend their music class weekly.  There are also opportunities for our 4th or 5th-grade students to participate in additional music opportunities before or after school.

Each of our middle schools offers music as an elective class.  Each site offers different level band classes and other music classes.

Music education is about so much more than learning to sing or play an instrument. Research has shown that children who learn music do better in other subjects. The skills they gain in music help with language development, increased IQ, creativity, spatial-temporal skills, coordination and improved test scores. They also build teamwork and camaraderie with their fellow students and have fun!

If you have questions regarding the classes offered at a specific school site, please contact the site principal.
