RCSD provides early childhood special education services for eligible students through a continuum of programs and services for preschool-age children. The preschool programs are located at Stoneridge Elementary and Kaseberg Elementary schools. Making a Referral for Services

If your child is 34 months old or older (but not yet in Kindergarten), you are a resident with Roseville City School District and have concerns about your child’s development, an evaluation can be done. Please start the process by coming into our office at the following address to complete a referral:

When you come in to complete the referral, in order for the referral to be processed we will need two documents:

  1. Original Proof of Birth (Certificate of Birth, Official Baptismal Certificate, or Passport) – we must see the original in our office. 
  2. Proof of Residency – (You must provide ONE of the following showing your name and address, or the name and address of the homeowner you are living with: PG&E Bill; City of Roseville Utility Bill; Current Rental or New Home Sales Agreement with move-in date and signatures.*  (No other documents will be accepted)

*[if you are living with another family - you and the homeowner will need to fill out a Supplemental Residency form and bring in the utility bill of the homeowner and their drivers license - call for this form before coming - it can be emailed to you]  (916) 771-1605 Ext. 50326

RCSD Preschool Champs Peer Program

Our goal is to increase inclusion opportunities for children with disabilities and to have typical peers serve as appropriate models in our special day class preschool classes. We are looking for peers  who are 3 and 4 years old not yet TK eligible with the following characteristics:

  • Strong language and social skills
  • Age-appropriate self-help skills
  • Initiates play and conversation with other children
  • Follows the classroom routine with minimal prompting

RCSD Preschool special day classes are preschool classes for children with mild/moderate special education needs. The class is taught by a credentialed early childhood special education teacher. The student-to-staff ratio is approximately 5:1. The class utilizes the Frog Street Curriculum, which is also used in our transitional kindergarten class, and focuses on  the following skills:

  • Communication Development
  • Language & Literacy
  • Academic Readiness Skills
  • Fine and Gross Motor Development
  • Self-Help Skills, 
  • Self-Regulatory and Sensory Motor Skills
  • Attending Skills
  • Social Emotional Skills

Locations: Kaseberg & Stoneridge Preschools 

Monthly Fees:

  • $150 monthly – 3 year old, Tuesday/Thursday (2 days/week) 
  • $300 monthly – 4 year old, Tuesday through Friday (4 days/week)
