About Me
Hello! I have been teaching in the Roseville City School District
since 2001 in Kindergarten through Second Grade. All but three of
those years have been in First Grade. I was lucky enough to
have opened Blue Oaks in 2003 and never want to
leave.
My husband and I are very happy that our two
children attended Blue Oaks all Kindergarten through
Fifth Grade years. They keep us busy with their activities
and sports. As a family, we enjoy camping and we are lucky enough
to have horses, mules and a dog that keeps us very busy.
I have known I wanted to be a teacher since I was in high school.
I got my degree and teaching credential locally at Sacramento
State University. I feel fortunate to be doing what I love each
and every day and at a school like Blue Oaks.
Teaching Philosophy
I believe strongly that all children have the right to learn in a safe and caring environment with quality education. It is my job to make sure that all students are able to access all curriculum so I value a well managed classroom where this learning can take place. I have high expectations and am responsible for not only teaching academics but also how to be good citizens. I feel that my learning never stops and am always trying to look for ways to make my teaching better and learning greater. Teaching is my passion!
