Background:
I have been married for 16 years and am the proud parent of two children. I have been teaching for 17 years, worked in insurance claims, and was a stay at home mom before teaching. When I am not working, I love to be with my family, golf, host dinner parties, and travel.
I graduated from and finished my teaching credential at California State University, Sacramento. I have always worked with students with complex support needs and have additional training in communication and behavior. I am PECS certified Level 1/Level 2, CPI trained, and hold a CPR, EpiPen, and First Aide certification.
2023-2024 School Year
In addtion to myself, we have Maria Esparza, Cheryl Beller, and Nikki Fardanesh as Instructional Assistants in our class.
We look forward to continuing the best practices in teaching this year. We utilize the standards based Unique Learning System Curriculum and the News 2 You current events.
We are excited to be continuing and growing our 8th grade community projects, Digital Literacy, Visual and Performing Arts units over the course of the school year. We are also exploring new opportunities for integration outside of the classroom this year.
