About Me
This is my nineteenth year of teaching and I have been fortunate enough to be at Blue Oaks since it opened in 2003. I taught many years in first and second grade and have loved teaching Transitional Kindergarten for the last four years. I graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a bachelor’s degree in Child Development. I also received my teaching credential and Masters in Education from CSUS.
When I am not teaching, I am busy keeping up with my three kids’ schedules of soccer, softball, baseball, volleyball, and gymnastics. As a family, we enjoy hiking, camping, and playing games.
Teaching Philosophy
My goals is for each student to grow academically, socially, and emotionally during the school year. My hope is that each student will build confidence in their academic ability as well as in their relationships with other children. I believe that it is important for students to actively engage in learning through play and exploration. I am looking forward to an incredible school year!
